                                               How to Create shorts Keys In Busy Accounting Software 
With Create Short-cut option you can create shortcut keys for various options. By default BUSY provides number of shortcut keys or hot keys that help in making work easier and quicker. However if you want to create shortcut keys as per your requirement, you can do so by clicking the Create Short-cut button provided at the bottom of each menu. Given here is a screenshot displaying Create Short-cut button provided at the bottom of Transactions menu.




To create a shortcut key combination for an option, just select the option and click the Create Short-cut button provided at the bottom of the menu. An important point to note here is that you can create shortcut key only for the last node in the menu. For example, you cannot create shortcut for Sales menu only instead you have to create shortcut for Add, Modify or List option of the Sales menu.
On clicking the Create Short-cut button, a Create Shortcut window appears. Given here is a screenshot of Create Shortcut window.


Create Shortcut window is divided into three panes. Let us discuss these panes in detail.
· Left Side Pane
· Right Side Pane
· Bottom Pane

Left Side Pane

Left Side Pane displays the keyboard with all the relevant keys. To make a shortcut key combination, you have to just press the required key combinations and press the Save button. For example, for Sales > Add option, you want to assign Alt+S shortcut key. For this you have to click the 'Alt' and 'S' key in the keyboard provided on the screen. After clicking the required keys, click the Save button to save the shortcut key combination for the required option. As you press the Save button, the shortcut key combination will start appearing in the bottom pane of the Create Shortcut window.

Right Side Pane

Right Side pane of Create Shortcut window displays the shortcut keys combinations provided by BUSY itself. These are restricted key combinations and cannot be used for any other option.

Bottom Pane

Bottom pane displays the list of shortcut key combination created by Users.

Data Directory refers to the directory where you want the company data to be stored.
